Vigerpoppetje/ Finger Puppet

Nu we toch met vilt bezig zijn, kunnen we ook wel een vingerpoppetje voor de paastafel maken. Hier is eerst het patroon. Je kan een witte kip maken, maar natuurlijk ook een bruine kip.

Now we have the felt out, we can also make a finger puppet for the Easter table. Here is the template first. You can make a white chicken, but also a brown one.

Knip alle onderdelen volgens het patroon.
Cut all parts according the template.

Begin met het lijfje aan elkaar te zetten. Je kunt het doen met een festonsteek, maar als dit te moeilijk is, kan het natuurlijk ook gewoon met een rijgsteek (neem dan op de kop meteen de kam mee).

Start with stitching the body. Use a blanket stitch, but if that is to complicated you can also use a running stitch ( here you add the crest too).

Vouw de snavel dubbel en naai hem dicht en daarna aan de kop. Naai het letteltje onder de snavel en de staart achter op ook vast. De ogen kun je met kraaltjes erop naaien.

Fold the beak and stitch it together and than onto the head of the chicken. Add the wattle and on the back the feather tail of the chicken. The eyes can be little beads.

Nu ook de tijd weer komt om met de kinderen naar de kinderboerderij te gaan, zal ik de komende tijd nog wat meer dieren toevoegen. Kun je na de Pasen ze daarvoor gebruiken.

Vilten vlinder/ Felt butterfly

Vandaag gaan we een vlinder maken. Hier is eerst het patroon.
Today we are going to make a butterfly. Here is the pattern. Knip alle onderdelen uit vilt en plak de stippen er met doorzichtige lijm op.
Het lijfje rol je op en zet vast met speld.
Cut all parts out of felt and glue the dots with clear glue.
Roll the body and use a pin to hold it.

Nu eerst de vleugels met een festonsteek aan elkaar naaien. Vouw tot slot de vleugels dubbel en zet het een centimeter vast. Naai het lichaam ook vast met een overhandse steek.
First we stitch the wings with a blanket stitch. When nearly finished, fold the wings togeter and stitch it for 1/2 inch together, so the wings stand up. Take the body and stich it too.

Nu kun je de vleugels aan het lichaam naaien.

Now you can stitch the wings to the body.

En de vlinder kan vliegen!

And the butterfly can spread its wings!

Vilten vogel/ Felt bird

Met Pasen hang je altijd allerlei vrolijke figuurtjes aan een tak. Je kunt ze ook eens zelf maken.
Vandaag beginnen we met een vilten vogeltje. Hieronder vind je het patroon. Het is eenvoudig uit vilt te knippen. Het lijf en de vleugels 2x en de snavel 1x. Het veertje heb ik buiten gevonden en vond ik leuk om te gebruiken. Maak eerst met een kruissteekje het oogje en zet de vleugels er aan, voor je de delen met een overhandse steek aan elkaar zet. Voor het vullen laat je een opening en doe je eerst het lintje in het lijf. Binnen kun je het dan met een knoopje vast maken. Vul het lijfje met watte en sluit het lijf. Plak het veertje met een beetje doorzichtige lijm in het lijf en hang hem aan de tak.
