Lente/ Spring

Wanneer ik aan de lente denk, denk ik aan bloembollen. Hier eenvoudige tulpen om met de kinderen te vouwen. Het kan met elke maat vierkanten. Klein vierkantje leuk voor op een kaart, groter vierkant (makkelijker voor jonge kind) leuk voor op het raam.

When I think of spring, I think bulbs. Here a simple origami pattern for tulips. You can use any size of square. A small square makes nice tulips for cards. A bigger square (easier for a young child) makes nice tulips to glue on the window.

Ei-konijn/ Egg bunny

Hier een grappig ei-konijn. Ja, gemaakt van (bijna) allemaal eitjes. Lekker plakwerkje! Maak een hele rij konijntjes.
Het patroon kun je hieronder downoaden met je rechtermuis knop.
Je kunt de vorm naknippen. Het is het makkelijkste om van elke vorm een malletje te maken.
Ik heb de ovale nestabilities gebruikt in 3 verschillende maten, 2 cirkel ponsen en een hartjes pons. De snor knip je uit de hand.

Here a funny egg bunny. Yes, (nearly) made out of all kinds of egg shapes. Nice work for kids with a little glue and the shapes. You can make a row of bunnies. Downloade the template with your righ mouse click. You can either trace the shapes or make a template for easy use. I used 3 sizes of oval shapes, 2 circle punches and a heart punch. The whiskers can be cut by hand.

Kleuren/ Color Page

Klik op het plaatje en je hebt een grote kleurplaat. Gebruik je rechtermuisknop om de kleurplaat op je computer te bewaren. Click on the picture and you have a color page for the children. Use your right mouse click to save it to your computer.

Haasjes bord/ Bunny Plate

Op het internet zijn zoveel leuke dingen te vinden. Hier is er weer eentje. Maak van je kind een konijntje. Je maakt het van een papieren bord. Kijk HIER voor de instructie. On the internet there are so many nice things to be found. How about this one: make a bunny out of your kids. You only need a paper plate. More instructions can be found HERE.

Paashaas met mandje/ Easter Bunny with basket

Vandaag een haasje met een mandje om eieren in te doen. Voor het mandje heb je een vierkant van 20x20 cm nodig en voor de achterkant een kaart van 10x15 cm. Voor het haasje kun je goed allerlei restjes gebruiken. Hieronder vind je een patroon van rondjes en ovalen om dit haasje te maken. Vergeet niet op het plaatje te klikken, zodat je het in de goede grote maat ziet.
Nog even over de neus: het is leuk om hier een hartje (pons), maar een roze rondje kan ook goed.
Het mandje is eenvoudig te vouwen uit met 16 vierkantjes en inknippen.Je ziet hieronder hoe dat moet. Na de zijkantjes te hebben vastgeplakt versier je het mandje naar je eigen smaak.

Today an Easter Bunny with a basket for eggs. For the basket you need a piece of paper of 8"x 8" and for the back a card of 6"x 4". For the bunny you can use pieces of scrap paper and you find a template of ovals and cirles above. Don't forget to click on the picture for the right size. It is nice to make the nose of the bunny in the shape of a little pink heart (punch) or a circle is also ok. The basket is an easy fold pattern you also find above. Fold 16 squares cut as shown above. Use glue to stick it togeter and decorate as you wish.

Lammetje/ Lamb

Kijk eens hoe leuk! Een lammetje gemaakt van wattestaafjes. Je kunt het op de paastafel gebruiken als naamkaartje. Ik heb dit op internet gevonden enhet staat zo fantastisch beschreven, dat ik jullie deze link zeker niet wil onhouden.

Hoe verf je een ei/ How to decorate Easter eggs

Vigerpoppetje/ Finger Puppet

Nu we toch met vilt bezig zijn, kunnen we ook wel een vingerpoppetje voor de paastafel maken. Hier is eerst het patroon. Je kan een witte kip maken, maar natuurlijk ook een bruine kip.

Now we have the felt out, we can also make a finger puppet for the Easter table. Here is the template first. You can make a white chicken, but also a brown one.

Knip alle onderdelen volgens het patroon.
Cut all parts according the template.

Begin met het lijfje aan elkaar te zetten. Je kunt het doen met een festonsteek, maar als dit te moeilijk is, kan het natuurlijk ook gewoon met een rijgsteek (neem dan op de kop meteen de kam mee).

Start with stitching the body. Use a blanket stitch, but if that is to complicated you can also use a running stitch ( here you add the crest too).

Vouw de snavel dubbel en naai hem dicht en daarna aan de kop. Naai het letteltje onder de snavel en de staart achter op ook vast. De ogen kun je met kraaltjes erop naaien.

Fold the beak and stitch it together and than onto the head of the chicken. Add the wattle and on the back the feather tail of the chicken. The eyes can be little beads.

Nu ook de tijd weer komt om met de kinderen naar de kinderboerderij te gaan, zal ik de komende tijd nog wat meer dieren toevoegen. Kun je na de Pasen ze daarvoor gebruiken.

Time to go to the children's farm is always nice with the children and soon I will add some other animals, so you can play with them after Easter as well.

Vilten vlinder/ Felt butterfly

Vandaag gaan we een vlinder maken. Hier is eerst het patroon.
Today we are going to make a butterfly. Here is the pattern. Knip alle onderdelen uit vilt en plak de stippen er met doorzichtige lijm op.
Het lijfje rol je op en zet vast met speld.
Cut all parts out of felt and glue the dots with clear glue.
Roll the body and use a pin to hold it.

Nu eerst de vleugels met een festonsteek aan elkaar naaien. Vouw tot slot de vleugels dubbel en zet het een centimeter vast. Naai het lichaam ook vast met een overhandse steek.
First we stitch the wings with a blanket stitch. When nearly finished, fold the wings togeter and stitch it for 1/2 inch together, so the wings stand up. Take the body and stich it too.

Nu kun je de vleugels aan het lichaam naaien.

Now you can stitch the wings to the body.

En de vlinder kan vliegen!

And the butterfly can spread its wings!

Vilten vogel/ Felt bird

Met Pasen hang je altijd allerlei vrolijke figuurtjes aan een tak. Je kunt ze ook eens zelf maken.
Vandaag beginnen we met een vilten vogeltje. Hieronder vind je het patroon. Het is eenvoudig uit vilt te knippen. Het lijf en de vleugels 2x en de snavel 1x. Het veertje heb ik buiten gevonden en vond ik leuk om te gebruiken. Maak eerst met een kruissteekje het oogje en zet de vleugels er aan, voor je de delen met een overhandse steek aan elkaar zet. Voor het vullen laat je een opening en doe je eerst het lintje in het lijf. Binnen kun je het dan met een knoopje vast maken. Vul het lijfje met watte en sluit het lijf. Plak het veertje met een beetje doorzichtige lijm in het lijf en hang hem aan de tak.

At Easter you have a branch full of little hanging figures. Those you can also make yourself out of felt. Today we start with a bird. Above you find the pattern. Cut the body and the wings 2x and the beak just once. The feather I found outside and thought was fun to use. Start with making the eye with a crosstitch and adding the wing before you sew the body together. Leave a gap for filling and before you do, add the ribbon from the inside, so you can make a not to hold it. After filling you shut the body and hang your bird in the branch.

Labelkaart/ Label card

Dit is een leuk kaartje om neer te zetten. Je kunt het voor allerlei thema's gebruiken. Je neemt een A4 papier en vouwt het volgens de tekening beneden. Leg hiervoor je papier horizontaal!
Als je de reep naar boven hebt gevouwen, zet deze dan met een nietje vast. Ik heb nu eiren in de vakjes gedaan. Die kunnen de kinderen leuk versieren. Ze kunnen er op tekenen of beplakken.
Met cadeaulint versier je de bovenkant.

This is an easy stand-up card for all kind of occasions. Just take a 8,5 x 11 inch piece of paper and fold as you see above. Have the paper horizontal in front of you! After you folded the strip upwards staple it. I added eggs in all the pockets.

It is up to the children to decorate them now. They can draw on them or decorate them with pieces of paper. Anything is possible. On top you just add some ribbons or fibres.

En deze heeft geen uitleg nodig denk ik. Leuk he! 2 papieren bordjes geel schilderen en de handen van je kind omtrekken! Nietjes aan de buitenkant, een handvat van touw of katoen en de eitjes kunnen er zo in!


This one needs hardly any explanation. Isn't it cute? Paint two paperplates yellow, staple them together. Trace the hands of your child and the basket is finished with adding some rope or cotton for a handle. Fill it up with eggs!

Haas voor kleuters/ Bunny for kindergarden

Dit is een van mijn favourite vouwsels voor Pasen met de kleuters. Eenvoudig en kan niet mislukken. Leuk voor op de ramen of op een kaart. Het ligt er aan welke maat vouwblaadjes je gebruikt hoe groot de haas wordt. Per haas heb je twee blaadjes van dezelfde maat nodig. 10x10 cm is een leuke maat. Begin met het vouwen van 16 vierkantjes en volg het patroon hieronder. En vergeet niet, als je op de foto klikt, zie je alles groter en duidelijker. Veel plezier!

This is one of my all time favourites with toddlers. Simple and can hardly fail. Nice for sticking to the window or on a card. The size of the bunny depends of the size of paper you use. For one bunny you need to square pieces of paper. 4x4 inch is a good size. Start with folding 16 squares and follow the pattern above. Don't forget you can vlick on the picture and you see it much larger and easier to follow. Have fun!

Een mandje/ A basket

Heb je het al geprobeerd het irisvouwen? Leuk?? Hier is nog een patroontje als je zin hebt. Ik heb een leuke link gevonden, naar nog meer patronen, misschien neem je er een kijkje. Het is de Circle of Crafters. Naast irisvouwen zijn er nog veel meer technieken. Veel vouwplezier!

Trap kaart/ Stair step card

Dit is een soort theater kaartje. Je neemt een strook stevig papier van 10x27 cm en ga deze vouwen op de volgende afstanden: 3,5 - 7 - 11,5 - 16 - 21,5 cm. Vouw als een harmonica (zie de foto). Voor de achterkant neem je een kaart van 10 x 14 cm. Voor het versieren kun je leuke restjes scrappapier gebruiken.

This is a kind of theatre card. Start with taking a piece of cardstock to the size of 4,5 x 10,5 inch. Score this paper at: 1,25"- 2,5"- 4,25"- 6". Fold the paper accodeon style, like you see on the picture. For the backfold you need a piece of 4,5"x 5,5"and you can decorate this with leftover scrappaper.
Omdat dit een Paastafreeltje wordt leek het me leuk er een paashaas bij te maken. Hiervoor heb ik een vouwschema gemaakt. Als je op het plaatje klikt, kun je alles goed droot zien. Ik heb een vouwblaadje van 9x9 cm gebruikt. Je hebt er maar eentje nodig! Het ei wat je naast het haasje ziet, is op dezelfde manier gemaakt als beschreven in de vorige post. Natuurlijk beplak je hier maar een kant van het ei!

Because this will be an Easter tableau, I thought it would be nice to add an easter bunny. I made you a folding template and by clicking on the picture you will see it much larger and will be easy to follow. I used some origami paper of 3,5"x 3,5". You only need one.
The egg you see is done in the same technique as is explained in the previous post. Of course here you only finish one side of the egg.

Nu is het aan jou om de kaart verder af te maken. Je kunt voor nog meer eieren zetten, of een mandje. Ponsjes met bloemetjes zijn hier reuze handig. Of laat de kinderen zelf tekenen en uitknippen en op de kaart plakken. Vele mogenlijkheden.

Now it is up to you how you are going to finish your card. You can add more eggs, or a basket. Flower punches are real handy for this project. Or let the children draw themselves, cut it out and stick it on the card. Many possibilities.

Hangende eieren/ Hanging eggs

Na het filmpje gezien te hebben van Hero Arts, kreeg ik dit idee. Wat als je geen plastic eieren kan vinden? Dan maak je ze zo als deze.
After watching the Hero Arts tube, I got this idea. What if you don't have plastic eggs? Than you make these.
Wat heb je nodig: glossy tijdschriften, karton en lijm. Gewone knutsellijm.
What do you need: glossy magazines, cardboard and just ordinary glue.

Gebruik de eivorm van het irisvouwpatroon hieronder voor de vorm van dit ei. Je kunt het sjabloon hier weer goed gebruiken. Neem een aantal bladzijdes uit het tijdschrift en scheur stukjes papier. Leg kleuren bijelkaar.

Use the template from the irisfolding for the size of these eggs. Take a few pages from the magazine and tear it into little pieces and put them in piles of the same color.

Smeer de kartonnen eieren in met lijmen leg de stukjes papier er dakpansgewijs op.

Put glue all over the egg and lay the pieces of paper on top of each other on the egg.

Smeer het geheel nog eens even goed in als alles erop zit en laat drogen. Doe dan de andere kant op dezelfde manier.

When all pieces of paper are done, add more glue on top of all and let it dry. Than turn the egg and do the same to the other side.

Nu gaan we het geheel afmaken. Het ligt er een beetje aan wat je zoal in huis hebt. Schrijf eerst je tekst en dan kun je er een laagje lijm met glitter op doen. Je kunt wat bloemetjes uit ponsen en erop plakken. Met wat houten kralen bindje de eieren met een lintje of garen aan elkaar en hang het op.

Now we are going to finish it all. It depends a little on what you have at home. Start with writing the text, than add some glue and glitter. Punch out some flowers and glue them on. Take some wooden beads and ribbon and tie the eggs together and hang your decoration.

Ik heb een heel leuk idee gevonden op het blog van Hero Arts. Het is een filmpje dat precies laat zien hoe je met tissue papier een plasic ei kunt versieren. Je kunt hier ook heel goed vlieger papier voor gebruiken. Neem hier een kijkje hieronder.

Irisvouwen/ Irisfolding

Irisvouwen is een hele leuke techniek voor kinderen vanaf 6/7 jaar. Je doet het met eenvoudig materiaal: papier, schaar en plakband. Heb je het zelf nog nooit gedaan, doe dan HIER (pagina 2 hier) een gratis workshopje. Je zal dan merken, dat je aan de achterkant van je kaart aan het werk bent en pas op het allerlaatst draai je de kaart om en dan.....oh wat mooi! Zo is het ook voor kinderen.

Irsifolding is a wonderful technique for children from 6/7 years old. You need simple materials: paper, scissors and cellotape. If you have never tried it, go HERE (page 2 here) for a free workshop. You will notice, that you work on the backside of the card and only when you finish the folding you turn the card and......... wow, this is beautiful. That is what children love!
Begin met het opslaan van het ei-patroon met de rechter muisknop en maak hiervan een malletje van stevig karton, zoals je ziet bij 1. Je kunt allerlei papier gebruiken, zelfs pagina's uit glossy tijdschriften. Maak strips van ongeveer 2 cm breed. Geef per 2 kinderen een rolletje plakband. Plak het patroon op de tafel vast.

Start with downloading the pattern with a right mouse click. Make a template from cardboard as you see on picture #1. You can use all kinds of paper, even pages of glossy magazines. Cut them into 1 inch strips. Make sure that 2 kids have a roll of cellotape. Stick the pattern to the table.

Bij foto 2-4 zie je de voortgang van de werkzaamheden. Vergeet niet dat je voor het midden van het ei een stukje glimmend papier nodig hebt (zilver of goud). Daarna kun je het ei aan de voorkant verder versieren. Maak er een tekst bij en eventueel een plaatje. Ik heb hier een stempel van een haasje gebruikt, maar je kunt ook een plaatje uit een kleurboek verkleinen en erbij gebruiken.

Photo 2-4 show you the work in progress. Do not forget you need a piece of shiny paper for the middle (gold or silver). Now you can finish the egg at the front. Add a text and maybe a picture. I used a bunny stamp, but you can also use a picture from a colorbook and resize it.

En als je niets hebt met eieren, kun je van deze vorm natuurlijk ook wat anders maken. Bijvoorbeeld een lieveheersbeestje. Neem dan wel een andere kleur papierstrips.

Kuikentje voor Pasen/ Easter Chick

Kijk eens wat een lief kuiken kaartje. Het is gemakkelijk te maken van geel papier, wat gekleurde restjes, een schaar en natuurlijk een beetje lijm en kleurpotloden. Voor het kuikentje heb je een stuk papier nodig van 15 x 21 cm. Vouw dit dubbel en knip dan de eivorm uit. Voor de vleugel gebruik van hetzelfde gele papier een strook van 5x 21 cm. Hieronder zie je alle vormen die verder je nodig hebt. Als je op de foto klikt, komt het in groot formaat op je scherm. Je kunt het dan ook uitprinten en dan heb je een patroon van alles. Je kunt dit als kaartje sturen, maar ook als menu gebruiken.

Look what a sweet chick. It is easy to make.You need some yellow paper, some scrap pieces, glue, scissors and pencils. Start with a piece of yellow paper 6 x 8,5 inch. Fold in it half and cut the big egg form. For the wing you need a piece of the same yellow paper 2 x 8,5 inch. As you see there is also a template. Click on this picture and you will see everything much bigger and when you print this, you have your templates of all the parts you need. You can send this as a card to your friends or use it as a menu on your Easter table.
