Uitnodiging/ Invitation

Het is weer de tijd van feestjes. Omdat je geslaagd bent,  jarig bent, trouwparty of zomaar een tuinfeestje. Natuurlijk hoort daar een leuke uitnodiging bij. Wat dacht je van een lampion op de kaart?

It is party time: Graduation, birthday, wedding, garden party. Of cource you want some nice invitations. How about a paper lantern on your card?

Wat heb je nodig?

Papier, lijm, letter stickers, of stempels en inkt of je maakt de tekst met de computer en een ribbelaar.

What do you need?

Paper, glue, letterstickers, or stamps and ink, or you make the text with the computer and a crimper.

1. Voor de lampion heb je een cirkel nodig. Gebruik een pons of je trekt iets ronds (kopje, onderzetter) om in de maat die je zoekt. Het ligt er aan of je een paar kleine of 1 grote op de kaart doet welke maat cirkel je neemt. Afhankelijk van de maat van de cirkel heb je nog 2 zwarte strips (voor een grote hier 1,5"x 0.75" - 4cm x 1cm) en een hengseltje. Beetje experimenteren als je een klein maatje maakt.

1. To make a paper lantern you need a circle. Use a punch or trace something that is a circle (cup, lid) in the size you want. Het is up to you if you want one big one on the card of a few small ones.For the big one as I used here you need two strips (1,5"x 0.75"- 4cm x 1cm) and a handle. For other sizes you just have to experiment.

2. Nu neem je je ribbelaar en stop de cirkel hierin en draai hem erdoor heen.

2. Take the cirkle and put it in your crimper and turn it around until the circle comes out.

3. Lijm de stripjes boven en onder aan de cirkel en het hengsel natuurlijk boven aan,

3. Glue the 2 strips on top and bottom of the circle and the handle on top of cource.

4. Nu kun je de kaart afmaken door de lampion voor op de plakken en als je geen stempels hebt, stickers of niet handig met de computer, dan kun je er ook gewoon op schrijven.

4. Now you can finish your card by glueing the paper lantern up front and if you have no stamps, stickers or are not very handy with the computer, you can also write on it!

5. Als je de lampion toch iets mooier wil versieren, dan stempel of teken je erop voor je de cirkel door de ribbelaar haalt. Als hem dan door de ribbelaar hebt gehaald, neem je een donkere kleur inkt (bruin of zwart) en ga je zachtjes over de cirkel met het stempelkussen. Zo zie je de steepjes van de lampion.

5. If you want a more fancy paper lantern, you can draw or stamp on the circle before you enter it in the crimper. When it comes out of the crimper you take dark (brown or black) stampink and brush softly with the inkpad on the paper. This way you see the lines of the paper lantern even better.
